Hello dear Understand your concern. It is most common in sexually active women . As sperm enter in to the vagina it cause changes in vaginal bacterial flora and ph and predispose to infections. You take following advice Tablet metronidazole twice daily Lacto bacilli orally or vaginally Hydrocortisone ointment Shower with salted warm water Wear pure cotton loose inner wear Apply oil base lotion that contain vitamin and minerals Wipe pelvic area after urination and sex Avoid sex and douching till you get better If not resolves contact the gynecologist Pelvic examination Do microscopy and culture , swab taken from urethra or vaginal discharge PCR, NAAT and ELISA for STDs also Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
