Suggest Treatment For Bacterial Vaginosis

I recently got my IUD taken out. And tested positive for bacterial vaginitis. I was treated with metronidazole vaginal gel for three days. Seemed to help, but 2 days later got a temperature, chills body ache, and developed UTI. Now being treated with macrobid. Now of a sudden, my vagina is swollen and red with runny vaginal discharge. What's going on?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Bacterial vaginosis should be treated with oral metrinidazole for at least 7 days.
Moreover, urinary tract infections should be effectively treated.
I would suggest you to get a vaginal swab examination done to confirm the diagnosis and get further management accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
