Hello Welcome in H.C.M. I have gone through your query regarding bad cough for last two weeks, and your cough is with lot of yellow coloured sputum and similar nasal discharge as well. Probably according to your medical history you are suffering from respiratory tract infection involving both upper and lower respiratory tract both. In upper respiratory tract your nose and paranasal sinuses are supposed to be involve. To manage it these few basic investigations are necessary- 1- C.T.Scan of paranasal sinuses. 2- X-Ray chest. 3- Culture and sensitivity of sputum. 4- Sputum for Gram s staining. 5- Blood- CBC, ESR, blood sugar (fasting and post parendial). By inferences of above investigations we came to know about the site of infection and type and nature of causative organism.
