Granddaughter has a Bartholin Gland Cyst that was lanced and drained. she apparently has an infection being treated with Ciprofloxacin, is allergic to penicillin. She is experiencing a huge amount of pain that has spread up into her abdomen. Doctors haven t helped her a lot. Pain meds aren t doing the job.
Pain near Bartholin area is due to Bartholin problems. But the pain in lower abdomen can be due to different other reason such as:
1) It may be stone in kidney or ureter.
2) Infection of the bladder.
3) Swelled ovaries or any other problem associated with it.
4) Colitis or ant infection of intestines.
To rule out a few things you need her ultrasound of abdomen done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
