Suggest Treatment For Benign Cyst Near Kidney

Hi there- I am having a 5.6 centimeter benign cyst evaluated by my urologist. It is preceded by a serious kydney infection and is assessing whether he should use the long needle to deal with the cyst or less usual laproscopy. He thinks there may be a possibility it might me slightly pushing on the kydney. What are your thoughts. Victoria

Renal cyst can be treated using a needle puncture or laparoscopy. Needle puncture is less invasive but has a high chance of recurrence, laparoscopy has more serious complications but a higher success rate and lower to almost 0 recurrence rate. it will all depend on the location of your cyst and how it looks like.
