Suggest Treatment For Bicep Tendon Tear With Pain On Shoulder
I had a MRI earlier this week for a probably bicep tendon tear, with pain along the bicep and shoulder. However, earlier today, it felt as if it popped or shifted, and it has been in severe pain ever since. There are not any noticeable malformations, swelling or bruising. I have iced it, but it is very temporary and only partial relief. I am out of town and cannot get to my doctor until Friday. Do you have any suggestions for now. It hurts the most when the arm is bent at or past 90 degrees. Thank you!
Dear patient You told you have got biceps tendon tear what prompted you to tthink that? Is it your mri report or just you feel like that ? Biceps tear lead to inability to flex the elbow and supinate forearm also bulge appears in arm. If it is confirmed by mri report only treatment is surgical. We have to identify the torn end and have to reattach to its origin site with suture anchor. Consult expert orthopaedic surgeon nearby you asap and get yourself examined. Surgery is the only option.
