Suggest Treatment For Bite Marks

My dad has these bite marks that can either be alone or in a cluster, they look red with a tiny hole in the center. They also itch, he is freaked when it comes to bugs and keeps searching his room for them, pulled his bed apart looking for bed bugs, put double stick tape around the bed so if there are any they will get stuck, and we still cant find what is giving him these bites.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history, your father is having insect bite dermatitis.

My treatment advice is:
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like Fusiderm-B cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
