Suggest Treatment For Black Color Stools And Diarrhea
I take a medication that says you could be bleeding. If your bowel movements are suddenly very black sort of the color of wet coffee grounds . They were black from pepto bismal but this is much blacker and I do have a lot of bowel problems. I have had four episodes of diarrhea in my adult life and had one this summer. I had a colonoscopy this summer but it didn t go well because I vomited a lot of the liquid. Could this be from taking 200mgs of Fosomax twice a day for about ten or so years. It is for arthritis and fibromyalgia and other reasons
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com. I am saddened to hear about your bowel trouble. Please note that you describe a scenario where you have an upper gastrointestinal bleed. This needs to be investigated. The diarrhea is caused due to frank blood normally. I would talk to a specialist who can further advise you. A colonoscopy and upper endoscopy would be warranted to delineate you r bowel issues. I hope this helps. In the meantime I would stop taking NSAID's/ibuprofen that could exacerbate the bleeding. I hope this helps and I trust you will have this resolved and looked into sooner than later.
