Hi, My husbad woke up with a huge unexplained black eye 2 days ago. There has been no trama to the eye or head area. It is under his right eye and is black purple. The area is slightly swollen. It has not got any bigger or smaller in 2 days

black eye can happen without trauma. spontaneous bleeding can takeplace due to hypertension, constipation, chronic cough. this is a self limiting problem, does not require any treatment
