Hi
If you are a male, the common reasons are prostate enlargement or urethral stricture (scarring in water pipe). If female then the cause may be narrowing of your urethra (urine pipe from bladder to outside). Alternatively if the symptoms are only of short duration urine infection is a possibility.

Please see an urologist for further tests including urine analysis, ultrasound and uroflowmetry.
