Hello just checking to see if i may have a bladder infection. I have the urgency to urinate with an unusual pressure when doing so. It started this afternoon and just now I see traces of bright red b lood. I think I have experienced this before at a much younger age.
Hi, There is a significant possibility that you do indeed have an infection of uribary tract. I suggest you give your urine for an analysis, and culture and sensitivity, and in view of blood on urine, find out if you can get an ultrasound of kidneys and bladder done as early as possible. You can be started on a drug like ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily till the culture report arrives. Oral fluid intake should be liberal, at least 3-4 l per day. You can take oral citra-alka syrup 20-15 ml thrice daily with water after meals to help reduce discomfort.
