I have a bladder infection. Dr started me on antibiotics Friday also gave me a shot of it. It is Sunday, I still have immense pressure on my groin and down my thighs. Belly is swollen, pain in lower back left side. Doctor stated if I was not almost completely better by tonight he may have to hospitalize me on Monday. What could be the reason for not getting better?
it is possible for uti to be caused by many bugs, antibiotics are given for the most common bug e.coli. if your not responding then probably it is complicated uti caused by some other bugs. you would need to be hospitalized to keep your fever under control and in the mean while to identify the reason behind your infection and to target the exact cause of infection.
