sir, 3 months back i had little bleeding along with stools . after consulting a doctor, it stopped for a while with little amounts in between which stopped after eating carrot. but for the last 2 weeks it has worsen .large amounts of blood is being excreted. please let me know the reason and which specailist to consult
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Intermittent bleeding during excretion can be due to the following reasons. Hemorrhoids, mass, polyp. Hence the cause has to be found out first so that a proper management is possible then only. I would advust for consultation, examination by ano-proctoscopy and Colonoscopy, preferably by a General Surgeon or a Proctologist. Tests of blood, stool and urine as a routine. Sitz bath twice daily. Laxatives or stool softeners. High fiber diet. Surgery as and when needed to get a curative treatment.
