I tore my frenulum on my penis whilst having unprotected sex. We didn't realise until later that the bleeding had occurred, it was quite a vast amount of blood. We both have washed it off and bleeding stopped a few minutes later. I am pretty sure it is the frenulum, as i am uncircumcised and it is vessel that has a gash on it. it doesn't hurt though. I am just really worried.
I just wanted to know what do I have to do about this? And if im gonna be okay?
Hello and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist, i can assure you, there's nothing to worry. You must avoid intercourse in next 2-3 weeks. The penis is very vascular, and a minor injury can bleed profusely. Pressure on the area for 15-30 minutes, will stop it completely. The safest step is, see a doctor. A frenular tear may need a stitch there. After healing phase, first masturbate and see, then only proceed to sex. If you want my expert opinion, send it as a direct question. Dr.Matthew J. Mangat.
