Suggest Treatment For Blister-like Itchy And Painful Bites On The Ankles

I am a 72 yer old, caucasion male who has blister like bites on my ankles - they are itchy and painful. I have been wearing sandals and working in my yard - occasionally walking through thistle-like weeds. I am sensitive to poison ivy, but this does not present the same way. Any advice on how to treat?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It may be skin allergy due to out side weed or eczema. Use tablet Atarax twice a day for five days. Wear socks while walking out. Apply moisturex cream locally. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
