Suggest Treatment For Bloating Along With Heart Arrhythmia
my 52 old husband had his gall bladder removed a few years ago. He is experiencing heart arrhythmia and severe belching. When he eats it is worse. he recently was told that he has the MTHFR genetic disorder. He is an athlete (mountain and road biker) and exercises a lot. When he has gas, his heart goes out of rhythm and he has to urinate frequently. He also has a hiatal hernia. Any ideas?
Hello and Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
* The intense bloating with arrhythmia needs proper line of management.
* Guidelines at present- Dietary measures to avoid fried foods, cheese, butter, dairy fat, non-veg stuffs.
- Strenuous exercises have to be avoided which will exert more pressure over the diaphragm and create problems.
- Control of body weight, blood sugar, cholesterol levels.
- Intake of PPI, pro kinetic agents for primary relief.
- Discuss about need of hiatus hernia repair if the same is contributory much towards the symptomatic presentation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
