Suggest Treatment For Bloating And Fluid Retention With High Cholestrol

My mom has pacemaker and has mild diabetes and high cholesterol (5 mg crestor). Her age is 78. She tecomplains of bloating and a feeling of fluid retention. Her doctor has given her torsemide 10 mg on a need to have basis. She currently takes it about once a week. How often should she take it and when? what symptoms should we look for? I ll be happy to answer related queries. Thanks.

Hi,

You should pay attention on complaints of dyspnoe and breathlessness and you should weight her every day, in case of complaints or if she starts to gain weight, you should increase the dose of torasemide.

Hope I could help you
