Suggest Treatment For Bloating And Rectal Burning Sensation

feel a burning sensation in my rectum. I feel bloated and have problems passing gas. I feel that I don t empty my bowel completely and feel a burning sensation inside my colon. I feel that my colon is inflammed. I am using suppositories (preparation H) to ease the burning. It s been a year since I had a colonoscopy and I was diagnosed with divertculitis. I was told to also watch my diet.

Welcome to HealthCare Magic. Thank you for posting your query.
I can understand your concern.

I would suggest you to -
- Have a diet rich in fibres
- Drink loads of water
- Avoid straining during stool
- I would start Duphalac syrup twice daily to ease the bowel motion
- I would also start tablet Pantoprazole to prevent bloating
- Toilet training - Avoid spending a lot of time in the toilet

Do not worry.

I would suggest you to visit a gastroenterologist. It has been a long time since you have had your colonoscopy done. He/she can examine you and correlate clinically.

Hope this helps.
Have a nice day.
Regards.
