Hi,
Noted the history about a female person having nasal blockage,
shortness of breath, small
chest pain.
The probable cause can be in the nose like deviated
nasal septum, hypertrophy of turbinates or nasal polypi.
Nasal allergies or psychological problems in the form of vaso-motor
rhinitis also can cause such symptoms.
This can be easily diagnosed and treated by the following ways:
First of all use OTC nasal decongestant, take steam inhalations.
Avoid stress and anxiety.
Avoid allergens.
Avoid extreme cold or hot atmosphere.
If the problem does not stop then consult an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, nasal
Endoscopy and go for the investigations like that of CT scan of nose and sinuses and any other as advised.
All these will give proper diagnosis and thus allow proper management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
