Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently was treated for blood clots in my right leg. I have been taking Coumadin now for about 3 weeks. I also gave myself the injections in my stomach twice a day for about a week. now I noticed a lump on the inside of my thigh by my knee that is sore and about the size of a quarter. this all started to happen in the last 2 days. could it be the beginning of a blood clot?
Hi.. have you taken injections to your thigh? Repeated injections to the same site causes fat necrosis(Lipodystrophy), which causes pain. Avoid injections at the same site. Take some pain killers for the pain and local heat application, unlikely to be a blood clot. Take care.
