I AM 58 YEARS OLD, I HAVE NOTICED THAT AFTER A LOOSE BOWEL MOVEMENT THERE IS A SMALL AMOUNT OF BRIGHT RED BLOOD MOSTLY i NOTICE ON THE TOILET PAPER ALSO THE BOWEL MOVEMENTS ARE A LITTLE MUSCUEY. iT DOESN T HAPPEN EVERY TIME, BUT HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 3 WEEKS, NO PAIN. jUST NOTICING THIS SMALL AMOUNT. i HAVE NEVER HAD A COLONSCOPY. cONCERNED. tHANK YOU

Are you suffering from constipation? Possible causes are hemorrhoids or fissure in the anus. Eat a high fiber diet and regular exercise, drink plenty of water. Use syrup lactulose at night after dinner for five days. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
