I have been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis and now have mild pain in my left kidney. It was due to long term alcohol use..I have stopped drinking for three weeks now and will never drink again.Also every time i have a bowel movement there is a lot of bright red blood in my stool and after i wipe there is a lot of blood left on toilet paper.
By long term alcohol intake you can have ulcer in your intestine.That can lead bleed in stool.omeprazole along with antibiotic can be taken.
Second you might have bacterial infection like by shigella or salmonella .antibiotic needed.stool may reveal pus cell and bacteria.stool culture useful for it.
Third examine your anal area by proctoscopy as hemorrhoides can lead bleed in stool.
You have not mentioned about your liver condition.Long term alcohol can lead portal hypertension secondary to cirrhosis if you have.That can lead rectal varices and bleeding.
