Suggest Treatment For Blood In Stool

Few days ago I noticed that I had a lot of blood in my stool most of it was light red but there was some dark red as well and I have also noticed that some of my stool is black I do take seizure medication which says one of the side effects was s black tarry stool however I m still concerned. I had a urinary tract infection about a month and a half ago and I ve also have been constipatied since last October or November. What is the likely cause of all this?

fresh looking blood in the stool suggests a lower colonic source.
Dark blood or stool cn suggest up e.g. stomach bleeding. It is best to see a specialist in intestinal disease to sort it all out as any intestinal bleeding could be a sign of cancer. Colonoscopy and upper endoscopy may be warranted for your symptoms
