Suggest Treatment For Blood In Stool

Hi, I am only 17 and I saw dried red blood along with some black specks on the toilet paper when I wiped. A month ago, there was lots of bright red blood in my stool and it continued for two days. (during that time, I didn t drink much water (possible cause)) As a result, I began drinking more water daily and the bleeding stopped until today. (the only change to my diet the past couple days was that I ate spicy foods) Today s blood was not bright but dried and darker. I have a very good diet (I eat fruit and vegetables everyday) and I don t have constipation and I don t have a family history of colon cancer. What could the possible cause be? Why did the blood texture change?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Noted you have redish brown colour stool suggesting melena ....

Here are few diagnosis.....
-bleeding ulcer
-colitis
-inflammatory bowel disease
-anal piles or fissure (if red blood ozing )
-polyp

First get your anal area examined with proctoscopy if piles suspected.

Fruits taken more with more green leafy vegetables.
Non veg and junk food avoided...
Take omeprazole for few days.
Take ornidazole antibiotic for 5 days.
Blueberries rich in fiber and vitamin c so help in proper digestion ...
Smoking and alcohol avoided.

If still condition increasing and abdominal pain also there colonoscopy or barium study needed to rule out polyp, non specific colitis and inflammatory bowel disease like condition and subsequent treatment.....

Consult surgeon for detail investigation if needed.
Take care....
