Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was just prescribed Amlodipine 10 mg for my Blood Presure. I also take Methadone 10 mg twice a day. I also take Wellbutrin and cinbalti. All of this is because of 3 back surgery all gone wrong 13 years ago. I am still getting off Methadone, it takes time after all these years. Will any of these not do well with Amlodipine, and why is Almlodipine not band in the USA?
Hello! Thank you for asking on HCM! Regarding your concern there is not any major interaction between Amlodipine and the other drugs you are using concomitantly. So don't worry! You can keep taking Amlodipine, check its BP lowering effect and discuss with your prescribing doctor about the maintenance dosing. Regarding Amlodipine promotion and its brad names available in USA market it depends by regulatory health politics. Hope to have been helpful to you. Greetings! Dr. iliri
