Hello,

Yes, in Polycythemia Vera itching may be difficult to control at times. We cannot give all medications to control itching at a time. So we need to step up gradually.

Your dermatologist probably had given few basic drugs that were not working. Please visit her/him again and inform your concern, so that he/she will definitely add some other treatments to help you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Surajit Gorai
