Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Im a 51 yr old female with a strong family history of heart disease. Just got a ECG for a preop eval prior to an elective procedure. The ECG said RSR in V1 or V2, probably normal variant. borderline T abnormalities, anterior leads, should I get further evaluated ?
Hi welcome to HCM I understand your query and concern. ECG changes in your report are suggestive of Right bundle branch block with minor conduction block.Yes a further evaluation will always be safe.Get 2 dimensional echocardiography of your heart, lipid profile,Exercise ECG,complete blood picture. Also monitor your blood pressure and heart rate.I advise you to have a n electrophysiological study of the heart to accurately locate the conduction block and assess its severity. Its always better to get Coronary angiogram to know the size and location of associated vascular blocks in the heart, since you had an elective surgery.Consult your cardiologist for expert management. Post your further queries if any, Thank you.
