Suggest Treatment For Bowel Obstruction

My husband visited our PCP on Tuesday of this week. An x-ray revealed stool in his intestine. Two bottles of mag citrate have produced very little result and he is being sent for a CT scan tomorrow. Is this a bowel obstruction? He is in pain and has elevated blood pressure along with this (he never has elevated BP)....what are the treatments for a bowel obstruction? He is still having some liquid stool passing around the blockage/obstruction. More information, please? We are frightened.

This sounds like Obstipation with diarrhoea around the blockage. Yes the stools softeners and enemas may relieve the blockage but he may need manual dis-impaction, in the future watch the diet, increase fluids, fruits and vegetables, it really works.
