I inject method. I have for quite awhile. Lately I ve been having a really hard time breathing. I can smoke a cigarette without coughing each time I take a drag. Feels like fluid. Little breaths mostly after I ve laid down and slept for a little period of time. Coughing up fluid like stuff (Flem?) cough like crazy in my sleep. It gets scary sometimes cause I can t seem to get in enough of a breath. I have medical insurance but keep putting of going to doctor even ER. What to do.?.
This is incredibly common. While I can't be sure without an exam, smoking causes lung inflammation and the airways spasm. Also there is the production of inflammatory fluid. This is called REVERSIBLE airway disease because with stopping the inflammation things go back to normal and there is not generally a lot of lung destruction underneath (especially if it soon after the symptoms begin). Regular doc or pulmonary doc is necessary to have evaluation after treatment and ER is not a good idea.
