Suggest Treatment For Breathlessness And Tightness In The Chest

I quit smoking after 2 years and I noticed I feel more anxious and I went to see my family doctor and he said it s normal but I also get tightening in my chest and sometimes I can take a deep breathe but most of the time no. And I get scared I m having a heart attack even though my doctor said I m too young for that and too lean for that. And my dad and mom don t have any heart problems at all. What tips can you suggest to ease up tightening of chest?

I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, we should rule out bronchitis in your case. It is common in smokers and cause similar symptoms like breathlessness, chest tightness etc.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system
2. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
Don't worry, you will be alright. First diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
