Suggest Treatment For Bringing SGPT Level To Normal Range
my father has gone through sgpt test and the result cam,e out is 83 ku/ltr. he is very much worried. he has never touched alcohal nor eat any packets food and not even oily food so plz plz suggests me what to do to cure and bring his sgpt range at normal.
Increased SGPT may indicate liver injury. It may be due to many reasons like hepatitis, alcohol intake, fatty liver, auto immune causes etc. It is important to know other parameters like bilirubin level etc.
Your father may need few more investigations like routine hemogram, random blood sugar, lipid profile, viral markers, ultrasound of abdomen. I suggest tablet ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg twice daily to my patient for three months. It helps in regeneration of liver cells.
Get well soon. Take Care Dr.Indu Bhushan
