Suggest Treatment For Bronchitis And Chronic Cough

Have had bronchitis for a week now been coughing alot been taking mucinex some natural remedies tylendol hot tea with lemon drinking lots of water and grape juice sprite you name it this morning I coughed in the shower and got some dark spots of blood, than this evening I noticed some also I know the mucinex has helped keeping it loose. I also grease my chest and back, throat at evening time with Vicks which also helps, had a lung Exray a week ago was clear please advise me if I should get this checked out tomorrow! Thanks Lorie

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your concern.
You are having hemoptysis (blood in sputum).
It is seen in bronchitis (uncontrolled) and lung infection. Since your recent chest x ray is normal no need to worry for lung infection.
Possibility of uncontrolled bronchitis is more.
So consult pulmonologist and get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
This will tell about severity of bronchitis.
And treatment of bronchitis is based on severity only.
You may need additional inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
