I went in for surgical clearance for a worker s comp injury on January 27,2015. I had all the tests done (x-ray, blood work, ekg, etc.) Everything, with the exception of the ekg, was great. The surgical clearance Doctor said I had an abnormal ekg. I also explained to him that I was diagnosed with bronchitis on January 23rd. He wanted to send me to a cardiologist. I opted to go to my primary care doctor, on February 5th, who said the bronchitis has cleared up and did another ecg and the results were sinus tachycardia. Otherwise normal ECG . My primary care doctor wrote down that I was cleared from medical standpoint pending x-ray and lab work. Today the surgical clearance doctor would not clear me for surgery because of the pending x-ray and lab work . It s obvious to me that he forgot he had done the x-ray and lab work on January 27th, so, I reminded him. He then states, in front of 6 patients and several staff, I will not clear you for surgery without cardio because YOU COULD DIE . He then repeats the YOU COULD DIE 2 more times. So not cool. So, my question is Is sinus tachycardia normal after having bronchitis ?
