Hello,
You are suffering from brown patches in the penis with pain and discharge. Earlier you had found an irritation on the penis. Your symptom may be indicative of penile melanotic macule. It is a harmless condition. But if the lesion changes its color or shape or it starts to produce discharge or bleed, it should be examined by a GP /
urologist.
Genital warts can become pigmented (darker in color) and may be confused with moles. Genital warts are caused by sexually transmitted illnesses such as the virus
human papillomavirus (HPV). Your treating doctor will get you few blood tests, skin tests,
biopsy (if required), etc., done to detect the pathology so that treatment can be started at the earliest.
You should also get STD tests done to stay on the safer side. If found positive you will be treated with antibiotics / anti-virals. You should take
acetaminophen, one SOS when pain. You can apply
Soframycin ointment on the affected area for relief.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
