Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was recently kicked in my leg, just to the inside of the right calf, during a soccer game. it hurt and swelled quickly however i didn't think much of it. Well it has now been two week and the bruising has almost covered my entire leg and the swelling has not gone down. Now every time I take a step I get this sharp shooting pain that feels like my muscles are ripping apart...
Hi, As u got kick at medial aspect of your leg and developed bruises over and severe pain , it must have some injury probably ligaments( lateral collateral ligament probably ) which required to be diagnosed first . So avoid weight bearing and visit orthopaedic clinic where through clinical examination (esp. varus test) and investigation (including x ray , MRI - may be repeated after 2week to give better diagnosis , etc) diagnosis can be made and treated accordingly. Till then avoid weight bearing and do limb elevation warm compression take Analgesic (NSAID ) , muscle relaxant ,proton pump inhibitor and Tripsin ,chymotripsin &rutoside combination .
Hope this will help. For any queries feel free to ask. THANKS N REGARDS
