Hi, when I equalise my ears, there is a pin prick pain in my ear drum. I m a scuba diver n I suspect perhaps I had forcefully equalized n bruised my ear drum? I m diving in a few weeks n wonder how to heal it quicker? Or can u advise what the pin prick pain is? Sometimes is a sharp prick pain. Only when I ewualise my ear. Thanks
Please meet your ent doctor since you are a scuba diver and it is likely there may be some swelling of your eustachian tube ( a normal tube connecting your nose and ear) , which is causing the pain and this can be dangerous when you dive. I would like you to get a clearance from your ent doctor before you dive again. Please dont delay.
Thanks
