Suggest Treatment For Bruised Knee

I fell on my knee 3 days ago on the astro turf. I didn't straight away wash it, but later on, i used some water to wash away. When i got home i put a plaster over it. The next day i opened the plaster up to find its gone all red and the blood hasn't dried. What should i do?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that due to injury there has been inflammation of soft tissues as well as there has been ruptured small blood blood vessels leading to redness and bleeding..
Nothing to worry as it will gradually heal and redness and bleeding will subside..
You should clean the area with antiseptic solution and apply antiseptic ointment over it..
You can tie a pressure bandage to ensure hemostasis and it will cease bleeding..
You can change the dressing every alternate day..
In case of pain you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
In case of no improvement consult a general physician and get evaluated..
