Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain bumps on the tip of the tongue that are painful seems to be APTHOUS ULCERS/CANKER SORES..
They can occur due to a number of reasons like
Nutritional deficiency [Iron,
Folic Acid and Vitamin B12], Stress, GERD, Allergy, Physical trauma to the tongue etc, but the exact reason is still unknown..
You can do warm saline gargles..
Gargle with 1:1 solution of
hydrogen peroxide and water..
Apply
milk of magnesia over the sores..
Apply lignocaine gel in case if there is pain..
For pain you can also take OTC painkiller
Ibuprofen..
Avoid spicy and sour food..
Maintain a good oral hygeine and drink plenty of water..
Sucking ice pops also relieves discomfort..
Hope this information helps..
