Hi, my son is 20 years old. There are bumpy bald spots on his scalp. It started 2 years ago. In the beginning they look like sores but now some are bumpy and some are flat and hairless. Recently, a dermatologist treated him with steroid injections and told him that it is an immunity problem. I researched and found Alopecia Areata that has an immunity problem but this problem comes with bald patches with no mention of bumpy baldness. What do you think? Should I seek a second opinion? The doctor did not do a skin biopsy. Please advise. Thank you Doctor. Regards, Catherine, email: YYYY@YYYY
