Hi,I am Dr. Carol Rogala (Emergency Medicine). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I spilled boiling water on the top of my foot. The affected area is not quite the size of a half dollar. I have been using a burn gel recommended by a pharmacist called scar zone burn gel and I have kept it covered with sterile guaze. It has been weeping a bit and I could see the blood vessels. This afternoon, like an idiot I wore my tennis shoe longer than I had planned, when I took of the dressing the wood bled a bit and is now blood red. I do not see infection at this point. My question is; should I continue with my current treatment, less the tennis shoes or should I see a doctor?

Suggest Treatment For Burn Injury On The Foot
You need to get it examined by the doctor. You may need a shot or two and may be considered for an antibiotic course if infected. Advise not to do self treatment.
