Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I bent over at work today and got a very sharp burning pain in my calf. It lasted a few minutes and then my leg was sore. Tonight, I bent over and it happened again but not as sharp or burning and it didn t last but a few seconds. What would cause that?
Hello there I have read through your question and burning pain in the calf is an indication of nerve compression. Since it is in the lower leg it may be happening at the level of spine. I would advise you to get an MRI scan of the spine done. In the mean while try and avoid sudden bending movements or lifting heavy weight s. Try doing stretching exercises. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
