Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation And Dryness In The Mouth
earlier i contracted an infection in the corners of my mouth after having dental work. It had a white color and burned at first then later developed cracking. My ENT diagnosed it but all I remember is bilateral something. He prescribed an ointment and it quickly resolved and abated. I cant recall the name of the ointment but Im sure I still have it. I thought it was MUPIROCIN but after googeling it, it says not to use around the mouth. Do I have the wrong prescription in mind?
Understanding your concern. As per your query burning sensation and dryness in the mouth is because of a condition called Burning Mouth Syndrome. I would suggest you to use Saliva substitutes containing methylcellulose for lubrication in mouth. Chew on sugar free candies. Drink plenty of water overcome dryness of mouth. Mupirocin as per your query does not cause this adverse effect as it is used for topical application of skin dryness and infection. If your condition keeps on persisting visit dermatologist once and get it examined. Apply moisturizer on lips.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
