Doc, I am a female of 40 years old. I get severe burning sensation in my stomach, where this burning goes down my thighs and have gas problem. I have lot of stress. I had done my colonoscopy last year and everything was fine. After that I was fine once I went through a course of anti depressant medicine as I was diagnosed for IBS.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of burning sensation in stomach. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like acid reflux, gastroenteritis, sunburn, irritable bowel syndrome and food poisoning. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to stay hydrated with lots of fluid and avoid food like nuts and seafood and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen. You should exercise daily and should not lay down immediately after having food. Take small meals and avoid large meal combination at a time. Consult general practitioner for proper examination.
