I have been taking hpylori medication for 2 weeks. I just stopped taking medication today. still get burning in my throat right after I eat. I am taking mastic gum and pepto bismol to ease pain. it is helping but not gone. any suggestions would be appreciated . thank you bill
It takes around 2-3 weeks therapy for eradication of H. Pylori induced gastritis. Apart from medical therapy you also need to take general care. I would suggest you following things apart from medical therapy that you already taking:
> Take hot water in a cup, add 1 table spoon salt in it. Perform gargles (mouth wash) with it three times a day for at least 3 days. It will give soothing effect.
