Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation Of Face Post Chemical Splash
I am a college student and I was working in a lab where I accidentally had some Sodium Hydroxide splash up into my face. It did NOT get in my eyes but it did hit my cheek. Following the incident, I washed my face several times with cool water and soap (maybe 20 minutes total washing time). It is now 10 hours later and I still have a minor chemical burns about the size of a half dollar on my cheek and a streak where the liquid ran down my face. Is there anything more I can do at this point to make the burn go away? Is the burn mark permanent? Any insight would be great .I’m a little worried.

Hello,
Apply antiseptic cream with mild steroids in it. Burn marks wont be permanent if burn is kind of superficial. But there can be skin discoloration for few days.Regards.
