Suggest Treatment For Calcified Granulomas On Spleen
I recently had diverticulosis and was given a CT scan. The scan found problems with my gallbladder and endometrium as well as diverticulosis. All of the above issues are being addressed. The scan also indicated that visualized portions of the lung bases demonstrate some of evidence for prior granulomatous disease, and indicated numerous calcified granulomas also noted on my spleen. Should I seek medical attention for granulomas? If so what kind of doctor should I seek?
Hi, Diverticuloum is a abnormal outward projection of mucosa of colon. When it is get infected,it is known as diverticulitis.
For granulomatous disease and calcified granuloma you need to consult pulmonologist who will take complete medical history ad thoroughly clinical examination with he will prescribe appropriate medicines.
You might require antibiotics ( quinolones or cephalosporins) with other supportive treatment with dietary restrictions.
For diverticulosis, the main cure is the only surgical removal of diverticulam because of chances gut infection or they could be also chances of complications like peritonitis, bowel obstruction etc.
So,better you see gastrosurgeon for diverticulosis and take advise.
