Suggest Treatment For Cancerous Tumor In Fallopian Tubes
Hello dr. My wife just found out she had a cancerous tumor in her Fallopian tube which was removed During her hysterectomy gyn said he saw no signs of cancer spreading to lymph nodes. He Said the tumor in the tube was about 1/2 inch in diameter and he described it as a aplastic in Nature (spelling?) a aplastic is how it sounded. Apparently the cancer had not spread to the ovary. My question is. What is the diameter of the Fallopian tube on each end and in the middle and Can a 1/2 inch tumor inside the tube be contained within the wall of the tube, or is it size large Enough to have broken through the wall and spread elsewhere? Thank you kindly for your Response. Gary Anthis. Wife name is suzie
The normal fallopian tube is only 1 cm in diameter. However, if a tumor develops in the tube, it can increase the diameter of tube without spreading anywhere else. When a cancerous tumor starts to spread, lymph nodes are involved first. So as your doctor checked that the no lymph nodes are involved in the cancerous process, you can trust him when he says that your wife is free from cancer.
For future care, you can take Suzie for regular check ups with the gynecologist and get cancer screenings. If the cancer will develop again, it will be diagnosed in the early stage and will be treated before it progresses any further.
I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish Suzie faster recovery!
