Hello
As per your description of the clinical symptoms, it seems that you might have following probable health conditions :
1. Yes, an EKG or ECG is important to rule out the most important one, that is Acute Myocardial Infraction, or any other Acute coronary syndromes; which often present with
chest pain and back pain. However, other symptoms associated with it are more severe; and if you have had any such condition your treating doctor or nurse would have taken immediate action. If similar symptoms continues, you should visit a physician earliest with your ECG report.
2. Another possibility is, it can be an orthopedic complication- a
cervical spondylosis or a
costochondritis. A conservative management under care of an Orthopedician would be helpful.
3. Another possibility is, it can be dyspepsia or gaseous distension of the stomach which mimics a coronary syndrome by causing a pin-pricking type chest pain and back pain. You may take PPI ( like -
Pantoprazole 40mg, or
Rabeprazole 20 mg, once daily before breakfast for 10 days), and keep a close watch to the status of your symptoms.
Thank you.
