Have regular chest pain.. Had ECG done and it showed blockage so had angiogram done but this says my arteries are not blocked... I was put on aspirin and beta blockers and still have regular chest pain..tired... And palpitations... Going for c t scan.. Do I need to be worried...I m 52..and excerise regular but get very tired now when doing it...
Hello welcome to HCM. I have read your question and understand your concerns. If coronary angiography is normal then you don't need to worry regarding reduced blood supply to your heart which causes pain.
Palpitations might be due to anxiety, excitement or even anemia. But some of the heart problems may lead to palpitations and chest pain other than coronary disease like MVP (Mitral valve prolapse). Kindly ask your doctor regarding this and go for 2d echocardiography to understand heart pumping or any valvular abnormalities. If 2d echocardiography is normal then forget about heart problems responsible for palpitations and chest pain.
Whenever you get palpitations just keep calm, seat down and draw your attention towards other things because anxiety will precipitate more palpitations.
Kindly also go for thyroid profile, anemia profile and vitamin D levels also.
Thank you. Have a nice day.
