HI, MY NAME IS JACKIE - I WASJUST INFORMED BY MY DAUGHTER-IN-LAW THAT HER 3 YEAR OLD (MY DRANDDAUGHTER) HAS THE CHICKEN POX. I REALLY DO NOT REMEMBER IF MY SON HAD IT. I DO NOT BELIEVE HE DID. IS THERE ANY KIND OF BLOOD TEST THAT WILL HELP TO KNOW IF HE HAD It? OR WHAT ARE YOUR GUGGESTIONS. LOVING MOM & GRANDMOTHER - JACKIE

Hi...you can test for chickenpox antibodies as once it comes the resistance power stays for life. The other option is to vaccinate all the people who come in to contact with the baby (Index case) with in 72 hours so that the spread may be curtailed.
